Sonic Rebellion - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Sonic Rebellion
Sonic Rebellion is a New York City based hard-rock band with a simple plan - bring powerful, fist-pumping music back to the rock scene with passion, power, and hooks. Influenced by Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, AC/DC and classic Aerosmith, their self-titled debut album is a stomping, adrenaline rush driven by soaring vocals and screaming guitars, anchored by thundering bass and explosive drums.
Cracked Latin - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
Cracked Latin
Cracked Latin is the joint brainchild of two longtime friends, Luis Accorsi and Lane Steinberg, conceptually hatched after spending several leisurely afternoons over numerous double and triple espressos listening and admiring a cache of old Celia Cruz and Johnny Pacheco records. Before joining forces, Lane already had a long career in the pop field, cutting his teeth in the cult Miami pop/soul combo, The Wind, while Luis had youthful fame in Venezuela with the Latin rock outfit, Jainz Kapella. The idea was to fuse these two elements and throw a heavy dose of late 60's psychedelia into the mix. The end result is a cross-cultural cornucopia of sound that spins the compass wildly to and fro, throwing a gently illuminative light on the Spanglification of North America, while simultaneously addressing the geo-political issues of both Americas with a surrealistic and humorous bent. The music is at once instantly recognizable and totally uncatagorizeable. Most importantly, it's impossible to sit still as their voices soar over the catchy, hook-driven spicy trans-Atlantic multi-faceted horn-driven aural stew.
Hoop - (Set time: 11:00 PM)
Hoop
HOOP™ Not Necessarily the Blues is what I choose to call the music I write and perform and I’ve been in the music scene for quite awhile offering something that has been missing, a void created from the restless abandonment of folk/rock artists from my generation. I create excitement with audiences through the use of “Radical” words and music about restless innocence, mischief, humor and love, laying the essentials for taking care of the next generation. “Hoop,” who many say sounds a bit like Lou Reed and Willie Nelson plays harmonica like the legendary Charley Musselwhite, and is an untraditional music artist that leans toward r&b and folk/rock, interlaced with country flavored vocals. The band ‘Not Necessarily the Blues’ stark open-mindedness and fearless genre shifts is an experience of renegade beats, sounds and stage performance changing between a solo act, to many artists bringing new dimensions to each song. A use of improvisational beats and a blending of musical styles give Hoop and the band its defining character. It starts with a beat… and the beat is everything.”
