Lieder - (Set time: 10:30 PM)
Lieder, an original band based out of northern New Jersey, displays an aggressive style of power pop, steeped in the tradition of American and British Rock & Roll. Originally formed in the spring of 2007, Lieder (which means “songs” in German) was personally given its name by rock legend Pete Townshend of The Who.
Frederick the Victorious - (Set time: 11:30 PM)
Frederick the Victorious
Frederick the Victorious is an idea born between Nicholas Villani and Brian Takacs to engage artists in a new way of creating and performing. This music is based on the second volume of a four part epic, narrating the trials and tribulations of Frederick Everwynn and the people he meets along the way. The goal is to expand the narrative to other artists and have them tell the story through their own words and style, creating a new perspective on the events and characters. Frederick the Victorious is actively recruiting other musicians, performance artists and writers to explore the concept and perform their associated works in-concert with, and separately from, the group.
Condesa - (Set time: 12:30 AM)
Condesa combines the musical talents of three of New York's finest working musicians who have all come together from different backgrounds to create an incredibly vivid musical experience. Paula Biedma is a classicaly trained concert pianist from Spain with a Masters Degree in Performance and over 15 years of experience. Cristina Kaminis is a vocalist from Mexico. After being on the New York music scene for only two years, she has performed all over the country and abroad. Sean Clapis is a jazz musician from Connecticut. Studying at the Hartt School and spending a great deal of time performing around the US and 5 countries abroad, he has made a name for himself as a venerable guitarist and band leader. In Condesa, these three combine their experiences and musicality to make haunting, deeply felt music.
