Three Wheeled Fonk Cirkis
Three Wheeled Fonk Cirkis is a funk infused rock group from West Hartford, Connecticut that was formed in the Fall of 2010. The trio has played throughout the Northeast U.S. as well as rocking out the on West Coast. Their roots are still held together by strong blues riffs and heavy classic funk rhythms, but their power and cosmic communication through their music has brought fans to their feet on a regular basis. They have played with and collaborated with nationally touring bands such as DOPAPOD, Gang of Thieves, Shaka & the Soul Shakers, and many more.

They had a great run in 2011 playing at The Rock Ur Ink Off Tatoo Festival in Waterbury, CT and headlining the Potato and Corn Festival in North Branford, CT. Regularly rocking out in Hartford, Boston, and New York City, The Fonk Cirkis is sure to be a growing sensation among the Funk-Rock scene in the years to come. The band was signed to ONE OF THESE Records in 2010 and they have broken through with a solid and growing following. Three Wheeled Fonk Cirkis is destined to be the next up and coming funk band.
Marina Evans - (Set time: 10:30 PM)
Marina Evans
Marina Evans has been a musician all her life. Her performance career began at age 17, when she co-founded the jazz duo My Ship. Billing themselves as “The American songbook and beyond,” My Ship brought new life to the jazz canon, and confirmed beyond any doubt that Marina was, above all, a singer. At age 18 she moved to New York City to study jazz and music theory at Columbia University. Immersing herself in the New York jazz scene, she performed often and grew considerably as a performer and as a vocalist. But it wasn’t until she picked up a guitar in 2006 that Marina became a songwriter in her own right.

Teaching herself guitar and listening to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Eva Cassidy, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, Marina began writing songs that blended her jazz background with folk influences. Within a year, she was performing as a solo acoustic act around New York and her hometown of Rockport, Massachusetts. Since that time Marina has written over twenty songs, and has taken her music from Rockport to Manhattan, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and most recently Europe: in the winter and spring of 2011 she toured across Italy, and made her London debut.

These days Marina is rehearsing, performing and recording with her band. Playing an all-original set, the band brings Marina’s music to a new level, successfully blending jazz, folk, and rock into a truly unique sound. The album is set to be released in the summer of 2012; for now, Marina’s acoustic EP Not Gonna Wait, recorded last year in Florence, Italy is now available for stream or for download.
